- Warming up of muscles is very important for ensuring that the body is ready for weights and exercises and to prevent injuries by reducing stiffness of the body.
- Wide hand back stretch warms up your shoulder, upper back, toes and calf muscles.
- Stand with your feet together and hands in front facing each other. As you bring you hand back, raise the toes. Bring the toes back down once you bring the hands back to the starting position.
- Holding the posture for a few seconds while stretching back makes the stretch more effective.
- Exercise with caution if you suffer from or have had back injury.
